Culture

The definition of Culture is the behaviours and beliefs characteristics of a particular social, ethnic, or age group. I think culture is a group of people, like a family, with traditions, religions, foods and languages that are different from others (cultures). Some cultures are Ukrainian, Mexican, Japanese, etc.

The elements that combine together to make culture, like I said, are traditions, foods, languages, holidays, values, religions and many other things.

I wouldn’t say I really have a culture. A tradition in my family is that every Christmas morning we have Creamed Shrimp on toast. It sounds so gross but it’s like really good. My family (on my Dad’s side), comes from Nova Scotia, and I think that is where that tradition came from.

What Is Culture?

    Hi!
I agree with you, that culture are traditions, languages, holidays, and food.
Why would you really say that you wouldn’t have a culture? I’m just curios to know. I believe that everyone has a cultural tradition. I would really like to try the Creamed Shrimp on toast, it sounds delicious. Well where my parents come from- Guatemala- the food over there that we eat is called “garnachas.” Which is tortilla with meat. It is like a taco, but with more garnish it. It is really interesting that your dad is from Nova Scotia because since he is from there, why wouldn’t you know your own culture?
I really like what you wrote. Great job.

    heyy shala,
Well I think it can be boxed but I also don’t think it can be boxed because, there are many tradtitions, and many other ways of life, how we live it. And Languages that can’t be thrown in a box.
