I think this movie taught the class alot about Global Warming. Some of the images in this movie were very sad. Like when Al Gore was in a helicopter flying over Antarctica and alot of the ice was melted. The movie was alot about him giving a presentation to this group of people. There was a huge screen which showed alot of graphs, pictures and videos of the effect of global warming.
One of the videos was one made on the computer. Remember my post “Threatened By Global Warming” well in this video it showed a polar bear that was really tired from swimming then he found a really small sheet of ice. The Polar Bear then tried getting on the sheet of ice so he could take a rest but then it broke in two pieces. Then he tried gettingn on one of the other pieces then that broke too. it was really sad because he kept on swimming and you could tell he was really tired.
Another time when Al was in the helicopter he was flying over a big field of trees and there was this big square and it was all clear cutting. It was crazy.
The movie showed hurricanes, tornadoes, everything. It showed mountains losing snow, and told you how many years it will be till each mountain has lost all of it’s snow. Many mountains have alot less snow than ten years before it did, the pcitures they showed were very scary. I reccomend everyone watches this movie. Maybe the world would change alot more and Global Warming would stop being such a big concern!=)
Here are only some facts I got from Climate Crisis:(I suggest you go to this site)
- Droughts and wildfires will occur more often.
- Heatwaves will be more frequent and more intense.
- More than a million species worldwide could be driven to extinction by 2050.
- The Arctic Ocean could be ice free in summer by 2050.
Well, that’s pretty much all for now. I hope you all get a chance to see the movie!
